I finally started my own Katie's Kep last week, but finding knitting time seems as hard as it was when the shop was open! I am really pleased with how the colours have turned out. The crown decrease has just started and if you click the arrow on the picture below, you will see this weeks progress.
Completion of my hat stalled when I realised my 40cm needle was struggling and I had no double pointed needles of the correct size on which to move my stitches. However, the Knit Pro needle delivery arrived yesterday, and the ChiaoGoo delivery this morning. So, tonight at Knit Group I have no excuse!
I plan to update the website this afternoon with the new needles so if you are waiting for a particular size, head over to the website this evening and you should find what you are looking for.
Baa has delivered many Kep Kits over the last few of weeks, so much so that my well stocked Jamiesons shelves are looking rather sad! It would be lovely to have a little gallery in a few weeks time, as a happy memory of a not so happy time. Please send your pictures to firstname.lastname@example.org and we can have our own Katie's Kep display. Remember to leave your details, the bundle name (if you used one), did you stick to the pattern... Or not? Oh, and where are you from... A map of participants could be great fun too!
For all the crochet fanatics who took part in Fiona Meades Blanket CAL, we would love to see your pictures too! The gorgeous & enormous blanket below was made by Tricia Hunter using the Clamshell Blanket by Sandra Paul as a starting point.
Plans are afoot to bring you new knit and crochet kits. Something to inspire, motivate and keep you smiling over the coming weeks. Have you any ideas you would like to share? Is there something you have always wanted to try? Leave us your comments at the end of this post and we will do our best to fulfil your dreams!
