Tatting is an intricate form of knotted lace which is made by hand using a small shuttle. It is composed of a series of knots or stitches, and picots, which form rings and semicircles. During this class you will be introduced to the following techniques while making a delicate bookmark. Skills taught: Double Stitches Picots Chains Closed Loops Joining Loops 'A fine piece', refreshments, tatting shuttle and materials are included in the cost of the workshop. Please bring a packed lunch.
An Introduction to Tatting with Helena Wilton
As a talented miniaturist Helena Wilton has taught and sold her work through specialist fairs and craft venues all over the UK, Europe and the USA. With abilities that happliy cross over many mediums her range of products covers just about anything! Fairy doors, miniature books, magic wands and most recently crochet hooks and stitch markers!

You may cancel a workshop up to 10 days before the start date to receive a full refund. After this time only 50% of the workshop cost can be returned unless someone can be found to take your place. We keep a waiting list and will do our best to find a replacement on your behalf.
