In this workshop you will learn how to confidently choose a colour palette for Fair Isle or stranded knitting.

With Ragnhild's knowledge and guidance the workshop group will discuss and practise:

  • How to use the Colour Wheel as a Tool

  • Complimentary Colours

  • The importance of contrasting colours in Fair Isle knitting

  • Identifying warm/cold colours & bold/muted colours.

During the workshop you will choose your own colour palette from our range of Jamieson's of Shetland Spindrift yarn and use colouring pencils to design your own Fair Isle pattern using the chart provided. You will then start working in the round to begin a pair of wrist warmers.

Please bring with you 3mm or 3.25mm needles suitable for your chosen method of working in the round, i.e. Double Pointed Needles, 2 x 40cm circular needles or 80cm circular needle for magic loop.
