Colour therapy in creativity
The health and wellbeing benefits of crafting are well known nowadays but the colours you use in your creativity also have an impact on you and are just as important a part of the process as the craft itself. In this class you will learn the basic principles of colour therapy and the effect they have on your mood and health, how working with colour can also improve areas of your life and most importantly, how the colours you wear express who you really are.
For this workshop please bring along any of your favourite projects/makes or skeins of yarn.

I've always had a love of colour and crafts so it was no surprise to my family that I started dyeing yarn - there's no better way to play with colour. I learned to crochet as a child by making blankets (my first creative passion) but I was too impatient to learn to knit - thank goodness that's not the case anymore!
When I learned to knit socks, I fell in love with the speed of making something small and the endless possibilities with colour and so I wanted to make my own sock yarns and make them as colourful as possible. I'm still aiming to make a pair in every colour of the rainbow. When I studied colour therapy, I loved learning about colour and how it influences us every single day. I often create yarn colourways by following my instincts/heart and then look at them with a colour therapist's eye to see what qualities they will combine - sometimes they surprise me!
