Corner to corner crochet is worked up diagonally in square 'pixels', making it the perfect way to great stylish motifs. Use the technique to crochet images on cushions or blankets. These blankets are often referred to as graphghans.
In this class you will learn the corner to corner technique and how to plan your own designs. You will learn how to change colour and how to manage working with multiple bobbins of yarn. This class is suitable for anyone who can confidently crochet treble crochets (US double crochet) and who can manage their tension.
Skill Level: Participants must be able to confidently do treble crochet and manage tension.
You will receive a booklet with some excellent corner to corner patterns and full notes and instructions. 2 balls of Scheepjes Stonewashed XL yarn and refreshments are also included.
Please bring your preferred 5.5 mm hook. (Hooks will be available for purchase on the day.)
Corner to Corner Crochet with Fiona Meade
Born and raised in Ireland, Fiona has been crocheting for most of her life. She gained her love of all things crafty from her multi-talented mother and her grandmother, who owned her own craft shop. After learning the basics, she taught herself to read patterns and hasn't looked back! She loves working with new yarns and trying out new crochet techniques. When not crocheting or looking after her young daughter, Fiona is a geologist, and has spent the last 15 years studying the volcanoes of Ireland, Scotland and beyond! She enjoys teaching as much as she enjoys crocheting itself, and has set up Fiona Meade Crochet to turn her hobby into a small business. You can also find Fiona as FionaMeadeCrochet on Facebook.
