About this pattern

The Mabel McTavish Mug Cosy was designed by Janice Anderson as a workshop project to teach the steeking technique. It is now available as a training pattern for those who wish to try this technique at home.

The Mabel McTavish Tea Cosy has been designed to complement and sublime the Tea Cosy. It is a vintage inspired tea cosy with pom-poms, colourwork and twisting cables.

Worked ‘in the round’, with steeked openings for handles (and also for the spout for the Tea Cosy), these pretty and practical knits are perfect for keeping your cuppa piping hot!

Clear instructions, charts and photographs guide the knitter through the required techniques making these a ‘simple’ knit for the experienced knitter or the perfect ‘follow on’ for those new to steeking and who wish to try something a little more challenging.
