As a former primary and nursery teacher, Dorothy found that relaxation came through craft. Although not quite sure who actually taught her to knit (probably her mum or even her grannie), Dorothy has no such doubts about her crochet tutor - her bedridden great grannie who set about teaching her the basics. Over a period of time this was extended into following patterns, Tunisian crochet and even some hairpin lace. Retired now from teaching, Dorothy has more time to devote to her knitting and crochet projects and is keen to pass on what knowledge she has gained over more than 40 years as an enthusiastic amateur.
