What is included:
Full instructions to crochet Sean the Sheep, designed by Fiona Meade.
Sean the Sheep is approximately 10cm tall and 10cm long.
5mm hook (or size required to achieve gauge)
5.5mm or 6mm hook for the foundation chain if you crochet tightly
You will also need scissors and a yarn needle, as well as small amount of black yarn to embroider eyes and mouth (use a contrasting yarn colour if you have used black for the sheep’s head), a ruler, toy stuffing (the stuffing from a pillow is a cheap alternative. You will also need small plastic bag/pop sock and some dried beans/grain/rice to weight the sheep if you want it to sit well. However, do not use these if you plan to ever wash the sheep!
About the pattern
This pattern is designed as an easy-to-follow first pattern for an early stage beginner and uses chains, UK doubles and UK trebles, as well as crochet increases. (US chain, single and double crochets, single crochet increases).
The sheep is made in 2 pieces. There are both written instructions and a chart for the head, so you can practice reading charts if you choose. There are written instructions for the simple body.
You will create a sheep ~10cm tall and 10cm long.
The pattern is available in both US and UK terms, with photographs of each step for both right and left handed crocheters. Both a right and left handed chart is also provided for the head.
