Grab a Workshop Coupon Code!

Updated: Jul 5, 2020

I have been a little quiet on social media recently as I continue to hone my skills at juggling many balls of wool at once! One of these juggling activities involved taking part in Aberdeen Yarn Festival on June 9th where we made many new friends and customers.

Preparing for AYF included the release of the new workshop schedule and in terms of organisation that is quite a feat, believe me!

During 2019 I wanted to introduce new subjects, new faces and tutors who are known for their quality of teaching. I won't bombard you with detail at the moment but instead thought I might introduce you to our new faces one at a time over a few posts.

Knit Your Own Boyfriend with Carol Meldrum - February 2018

On Sunday 30th June we have the first in a series of workshops delivered by Carol Meldrum. So... Carol is not actually a new face to Baa as she delivered our very first workshop - "Knit your own Boyfriend" and she recently returned to Baa to teach "Freeform Crochet".

Have you been lucky enough to take part in one of Carol's workshop in the past? Please do let us know. Perhaps your workshop was here at Baa, Edinburgh Yarn Festival or more recently at Aberdeen Yarn Fest? Or maybe you have previously joined Carol on a Knitting cruise or European knitting retreat? She is a very busy lady!

On contacting Carol in late 2018 I was delighted (And extremely lucky!) to find a few slots in her busy diary, so I promptly booked them... And here they are!

I recently discovered a new coupon code function on the Baawool website and I would really like to try it out. So for the remainder of June, book any Carol Meldrum workshop online and receive 15% discount. Enter the code BeatKnit15OFF at checkout and the discount will be applied automatically. Yeehaw!

And if you want to learn a little more about the talented Carol (who hails originally from Aberdeen) read on...

Since graduating from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in Dundee, Carol has worked within the textile industry as a designer for High Street fashion outlets as well as internationally renowned hand knit label Rowan.

Carol's work features regularly in The Knitter and other popular magazines such as Simply Knitting, Inside Crochet and Vogue Knitting. She is also the author of many popular knit and crochet titles. You can view many of Carol's designs here via Ravelry.
