Laine Anniversary Issue

Can you believe it’s been 10 years of Laine Magazine already? Well, to celebrate the occasion, Laine has created the beautiful Laine Anniversary Issue. A special one-off edition that brings together 23 contemporary knitting patterns from some of the international knitwear designers who’ve contributed to Laine magazine over the last decade.

And there are so many knitting patterns to love: plenty of cosy sweaters and cardigans to cast on ready for winter, beautiful vests for the transition between seasons plus a few accessory patterns including an elegant lace shawl, a textured scarf and a cable knit hat.

To create this issue, some of the designers have revisited their own Laine patterns, using them as a starting point to create something new – like Sari Nordlund’s Poet Skirt which features the same lace pattern as her Poet sweater from Issue 6.

Others have created entirely new designs inspired by Laine’s signature Nordic aesthetic, including Dee Hardwicke’s Wild Rose Slipover, which incorporates intricate stitching on the knitted fabric.

If you’re already a Laine fan, this anniversary edition feels a bit like a trip down memory lane. And if you’re new to the magazine, then it’s a cracking place to start!
