Laine Issue 29

Laine Issue 29 is the summer 2026 edition of the popular knitting magazine from Laine Publishing.  A beautiful collection of 15 wearable summer knitting patterns, it’s packed with knitting inspiration for the warmer months ahead. So many gorgeous handknits you can layer over dresses, or wear with linen trousers or jeans – basically they’re ideal summer knitting projects even here in Stonehaven, Scotland!

As usual, this knitting magazine is stunning, with beautiful photography inspired by the movie The Hours and the beauty of the English countryside. Each contemporary knitting pattern was designed with summer knitting in mind; using breathable fibres like cotton and silk, alongside lace, texture and openwork to create lightweight knits for the warmer weather.

Inside, there’s a really lovely mix of relaxed sweaters, easy breezy t-shirts and tops, airy shawls and versatile accessories, worked in a variety of knitting techniques. You’ll find everything from intricate knitted cables and delicate lace to cosy brioche and meditative stockinette stitch.

As always, Laine goes beyond the knitting patterns themselves. Alongside the summer knit designs, you’ll find inspiring interviews, thoughtful articles and creative features that are right up our street as knitters. The whole magazine is a delight to flick through, just as enjoyable for sparking a bit of knitting inspiration as it is to knit from. We love it!
