Passing down childhood memories to our own children feels so special doesn’t it? So when we saw Peter Rabbit Baby Knits by Debbie Bliss, we jumped at the chance to add this collection of baby knitting patterns inspired by Beatrix Potter’s stories to the Baa! bookshelves.
These sweet knitting patterns, featuring colourwork motifs of Peter Rabbit and his friends have been designed by knitwear expert Debbie Bliss – and they’re all officially licensed for you to add to your knitting queue.
Inside Peter Rabbit Baby Knits, you’ll find 20 adorable baby knit designs in total, including cosy little cardigans, soft blankets, tiny hats and of course that incredible Peter Rabbit sweater that’s pictured on the cover of the book. The patterns are grouped into five themed sets featuring Beatrix Potter’s most popular characters. You can choose to knit either Peter Rabbit and his sisters, Mrs Tiggy-Winkle, Jemima Puddle-Duck, Squirrel Nutkin or Tom Kitten.
The whole knitting book is laid out beautifully, with step-by-step instructions, clear charts for knitting colourwork and gorgeous photos. Definitely one we recommend for heirloom baby knits, or knitting something extra special as a gift for a new baby, because honestly, who could resist knitting Peter Rabbit onto a baby jumper?!
